In pursuit of this versatile staple, Marionette reached out to the Matovani family in the Goulburn Valley who have been farming stone fruit for over 25 years. The apricots are macerated, distilled, and barrel-aged with brandy made by the Angove family who have been distilling for five generations in Renmark, South Australia. The result highlights the quality of its local components, this vibrant and hazy liqueur captures the freshness of in-season apricots and combines it with the nuttiness found in all stone fruit liqueurs to deliver a complex drink component that's more than just a one-note fruit infusion.
An indulgent, viscous texture and lashings of spiced fruit flavours balanced with a dry, fresh finish.
Enjoy in a Toreador, Apricot Sour, or Claridge.
Marionette was created by four Melbourne hospitality professionals wanting to celebrate Australian produce and bring liqueurs back into the spotlight. They start with fresh fruit from good people and work hard to capture every last bit of flavour from the produce. Their focus is on creating the optimal building blocks for both classic and modern cocktails—a careful balancing act of sweetness, acidity, and alcohol intensity.
