The folks at Jack Rudy Cocktail Co believe they’ve managed to create the closest possible thing to a perfect Gin & Tonic.

Their Small Batch Tonic is essentially a quinine concentrate. It’s designed to pair with your favorite Gin or Vodka, and is then stretched with soda water to make a bright, light, refreshing highball.

With a backbone of quinine, culled from the Cinchona Tree, they’ve added a delicate mix of botanicals, and then sweetened it with real cane sugar; the final product is a complex mixture that introduces a fine bitterness to any cocktail, and a great pairing with the botanicals of the finest Gins in the world.

Also great to use with a SodaStream® or other home soda maker.

About Jack Rudy:

The company was named after the two founders great-grandfather, Jack Rudy. His story, entirely true, and on the side of their bottle, is this:

“Jack Rudy was many things. He was a pilot who illegally flew his plane under the Ohio River Bridge (on a dare), an inventor who created a mechanical device for pharmacists to count pills, and a craftsman who once built a houseboat out of an old city bus. After serving as an aircraft mechanic in WWII, he spent his working life as an engineer. He read Popular Mechanics and National Geographic cover to cover - a curious type who made his own bullets, and shot them into a dirt wall he constructed in his basement. In addition to being a ‘marvelous’ dancer, he LOVED to entertain and was known to overindulge in drink, smoke, and his wife’s gourmet cooking."

Refrigerate after opening.

Contains quinine.

Jack Rudy Classic Tonic Syrup

Awesome! If you're after a less sweet option for your G&T's this is it! Absolutely beautiful. Already got a second bottle so I don't run out.

forget tonic water

Posted by Art Vanderlay on 27th Nov 2017

Completely different to the normal gin and tonic water. I've tried a bunch of different tonic syrups and none come even close to Mr Rudy's. The elderflower one is great too. I first tried the ratio that's on the bottle but then changed it to suit. Lime, gin, Jack Rudy and soda water - in my mind it's healthier than tonic water too...
Perfect for summer.

Beautifully Balanced Tonic Syrup

The perfect balance of tartness, a little bitterness & not too sweet Jack Ruby tonic syrup is my all time fave with fine gins of moderate botanicals.

Can't make a G&T without it!

Posted by David on 22nd May 2015

This tonic syrup is so delicious that I can't make a gin and tonic without it anymore! It's light and citrusy, without too much bitterness or medicinal flavours that I find in other tonics. Highly recommended, and so convenient when paired with a Soda Stream. :-)

Mild flavour

Posted by Sarah on 13th Apr 2015

I found the flavour to be very mild. I will need to experiment with the concentration of syrup. The flavour is nice, very gentle but I would have thought I could taste more quinine given the ingredients. There is nothing wrong with the product, however I think its not quite to my taste. I will look at other options for my next order.

Revolutionised my at-home G+T

Posted by Jackie McMillan on 12th Apr 2015

This product is excellent. Instead of searching the aisles for decent tonic water, I now pick up soda water and construct myself a well-balanced G+T simply by following the instructions. No more sugar-headaches after a big night of Mother's Ruin. Not so big it cancels out the botanicals of your quality gin (and you should only drink quality gin).

Needs more concentration

Posted by Bill on 22nd Feb 2015

Need to add about 4x recommended quantity to make its presence felt : then its good.

not sure about this one

Am trying to decide whether I like it or not. Am an insulin dependant diabetic & have to use diet tonic which I want to stay away from. Find that you need quite a bit of the tonic syrup to get any flavour coming through, which will make it an expensive product to use. Will persevere as I bought two bottles !!

Buy this tonic!!

Wow! Am really happy with the flavour of this tonic. As a newbie to using tonic syrup you can't go wrong starting with Jack Rudy - it's exactly how you hope a great G&T will taste. Make it with Soda Water and bit of lemon and you will be returning for more.
Highly recommended!
