Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Classic Tonic Syrup 473ml
Country of origin: USA Alcohol content: 0% Alcohol by Volume
The folks at Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. believe they’ve managed to create the closest possible thing to a perfect Gin & Tonic.
Their Small Batch Tonic is essentially a quinine concentrate. It’s designed to pair with your favorite Gin or Vodka, and is then stretched with soda water to make a bright, light, and refreshing highball.
With a base of quinine culled from the Cinchona Tree, a delicate mix of botanicals, and an added sweetness from real cane sugar, Jack Rudy have crafted the perfect tonic syrup. A delicate and light concentrate that introduces a fine bitterness to any cocktail; ideal paired with a premium gin.
The perfect addition to a household with a SodaStream® or other home soda makers.
Pairing Suggestion: Tanqueray, Archie Rose Dry Gin, Melbourne Gin Company, Archie Rose Distiller's Strength, Citadelle, or Plymouth.
About Jack Rudy:
Named after the founders' great-grandfather, Jack Rudy. His story, entirely true, and on the side of their bottle, is as follows:
“Jack Rudy was many things. He was a pilot who illegally flew his plane under the Ohio River Bridge (on a dare), an inventor who created a mechanical device for pharmacists to count pills, and a craftsman who once built a houseboat out of an old city bus. After serving as an aircraft mechanic in WWII, he spent his working life as an engineer. He read Popular Mechanics and National Geographic cover to cover - a curious type who made his own bullets, and shot them into a dirt wall he constructed in his basement. In addition to being a ‘marvelous’ dancer, he LOVED to entertain and was known to overindulge in drink, smoke, and his wife’s gourmet cooking."

forget tonic waterBy: Art Vanderlay on 27 November 2017Completely different to the normal gin and tonic water. I've tried a bunch of different tonic syrups and none come even close to Mr Rudy's. The elderflower one is great too. I first tried the ratio that's on the bottle but then changed it to suit. Lime, gin, Jack Rudy and soda water - in my mind it's healthier than tonic water too... Perfect for summer.
Beautifully Balanced Tonic SyrupBy: Alex on 10 August 2017The perfect balance of tartness, a little bitterness & not too sweet Jack Ruby tonic syrup is my all time fave with fine gins of moderate botanicals.
Can't make a G&T without it!By: David on 22 May 2015This tonic syrup is so delicious that I can't make a gin and tonic without it anymore! It's light and citrusy, without too much bitterness or medicinal flavours that I find in other tonics. Highly recommended, and so convenient when paired with a Soda Stream. :-)
Mild flavourBy: Sarah on 13 April 2015I found the flavour to be very mild. I will need to experiment with the concentration of syrup. The flavour is nice, very gentle but I would have thought I could taste more quinine given the ingredients. There is nothing wrong with the product, however I think its not quite to my taste. I will look at other options for my next order.
Revolutionised my at-home G+TBy: Jackie McMillan on 12 April 2015This product is excellent. Instead of searching the aisles for decent tonic water, I now pick up soda water and construct myself a well-balanced G+T simply by following the instructions. No more sugar-headaches after a big night of Mother's Ruin. Not so big it cancels out the botanicals of your quality gin (and you should only drink quality gin).
