Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Elderflower Tonic Syrup 473ml
Country of origin: USA Alcohol content: 0% Alcohol by Volume
The Elderflower Tonic is Jack Rudy's updated tonic formula with more body and a bolder finish than their original tonic syrup. Crafted with quinine, elderflower, water, citric acid, sugar, lemongrass and organge peel, this tonic syrup pairs perfectly with a number of richer spirits: tequila, bourbon or rum, while still acting a classic companion to the finer gins of the world.
Because elderberry grows wild throughout Kentucky, the guys at Jack Rudy thought it a natural compliment to their line of mixers. They added organic dried elderflowers to their original recipe, and increased the level of quinine to bring a balance to the final product.
Light and sweet, floral notes from Elderflower make a delicious summer tonic. Though the Elderflower Tonic has a profile that allows G&T drinking deep into the winter months, and shows versatility in a number of different applications.
Pairing Suggestion: Dasher + Fisher Meadow, Sipsmith London Dry, or Ink Gin, Hendricks Gin, or Poor Tom’s.
About Jack Rudy:
The company was named after the two founders great-grandfather, Jack Rudy. His story, entirely true, and on the side of their bottle, is this:
“Jack Rudy was many things. He was a pilot who illegally flew his plane under the Ohio River Bridge (on a dare), an inventor who created a mechanical device for pharmacists to count pills, and a craftsman who once built a houseboat out of an old city bus. After serving as an aircraft mechanic in WWII, he spent his working life as an engineer. He read Popular Mechanics and National Geographic cover to cover - a curious type who made his own bullets, and shot them into a dirt wall he constructed in his basement. In addition to being a ‘marvelous’ dancer, he LOVED to entertain and was known to overindulge in drink, smoke, and his wife’s gourmet cooking."
