Inspired by Westward Whiskey and the cool autumn weather of the US Pacific Northwest, these bitters were made with an elevated, holiday Old Fashioned in mind.

These bitters are a lighter version of their Aromatic bitters that really let all the toasty flavor of roasted Oregon grown hazelnuts shine through. Finished with the spicy notes of cinnamon and black pepper, they bring a welcome warmth to any cocktail you dash them in.

Small batch cocktail bitters made in Portland, Oregon.

The Bitter Housewife was created for me and my whiskey-drinking friends. We don’t want to be talked down to and we don’t want to be told what we like isn’t “correct”. I don't believe cocktails should be intimidating or that you need a whole new vocabulary to talk about them. I believe in great taste, real ingredients, and fun. It is cocktails after all.
