The backbone of Marionette Amaretto is formed with almonds from the Keen family's lush biodynamic orchards on the Murray, macerated with a lick of golden syrup and a dash of salt. Marzipan characters from Goulburn Valley apricot kernels, held over from Marionette Apricot Brandy, and Muscat from Australia's fortified-wine heartland of Rutherglen round out this classic cocktail staple.
Marionette Amaretto is unflocked and only lightly filtered, creating a hazy liqueur packed full of natural flavour. Rich and nutty with a touch of marzipan, bolstered by varietal raisin notes from the Muscat.
Enjoy in a Mai Tai, Godfather, or Amaretto Sour. Try using as a substitute for orgeat in cocktails.
Marionette was created by four Melbourne hospitality professionals wanting to celebrate Australian produce and bring liqueurs back into the spotlight. They start with fresh fruit from good people and work hard to capture every last bit of flavour from the produce. Their focus is on creating the optimal building blocks for both classic and modern cocktails—a careful balancing act of sweetness, acidity, and alcohol intensity.
