This distinguished expression of traditional Piemonte flavours is a vin amer, a predecessor to the now more common styles of Amari.
The wine base is a Bosca estate Moscato infused with cardoon (not Cardamom) and Roman Blessed thistle (among other herbs). Ginger and artichoke smooth it all out.
Aged in new oak for a minimum of 6 months.
Tasting Note: Candied Spice and Nuts
It drinks like an Amaro, a Sweet Vermouth and an Oloroso Sherry.
Founded in 1820, the Giovanni Bosca Tosti estate has been run by 7 generations of the Bosca family. They produce wines, vermouths and Amari.
