Our chocolate bitters can be the secret ingredient for your Easter get-together.  Used in cocktails or baking, a few dashes of chocolate bitters add that hint of chocolate goodness.

bittersweet cacao with three types of dried chiles
Mozart Chcoclate - highly concentrated liquid dark chocolate

+ 1 ½ oz rye
+ ½ oz Benedictine
+ ½ oz Crème de Peach
+ 3 dashes chocolate bitters

El Nacional
(Casey – Barrio, Seattle; via Scrappy's)
+ 1 oz mezcal
+ 1oz Campari
+ ½ oz Averna
+ ½ oz dry vermouth
+ 3 dashes of chocolate bitters

Improved Tequila Cocktail
(Bobby Heugel - Anvil Bar & Refuge; via Bittermen's)
2 oz reposado tequila (Heugel recommends Siete Leguas or Siembra Azul)
1 teaspoon maraschino liqueur
2 dashes Bittermens Xocolatl Mole Bitters
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 teaspoon agave nectar
Twist of lemon peel, for garnish

Albuquerque Old Fashioned
(Tristan Willey while at Amor y Amargo; via Bittermen's)
2 oz Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey
Barspoon of Cane Syrup
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
6 drops Bittermens Xocolatl Mole Bitters
20 drops Bittermens Hellfire Habanero Shrub

New England Daiquiri
(Modification of a classic by Joaquin Simo of Death & Company; via The Bitter Truth)
2 oz Ron Zacapa 23 year old Rum
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
2 tsp Maple Syrup
1 dash Chocolate Bitters

Jane Russell
(From Brian Miller at NYC’s Death & Company; via The Bitter Truth)
1 1/2 oz Russell’s Reserve Rye
1/2 oz Rittenhouse Rye (bonded)
1/4 oz Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth
1/4 oz Grand Marnier
1/4 oz Benedictine
1 dash Chocolate Bitters
