BCN Vermut only uses fruits grown from the old Grenache and Carinena vines from the Terra Alta wine-growing region in southern Catalonia .
The local microclimate with its' dry winds that come up from the Ebro Valley, couple with the loamy and limestone-rich soil offer the best conditions for the Garnacha Blanca.
Traditional spices such as clove, cinnamon and wormwood are added in the maceration. In order to stand out from the crowd with the BCN, botanicals that are typical for the mountains of the Priorat are added. To enrich the white wine with alcohol, the two native varieties Cariñena and Grenache are distilled with juniper, rosemary, elderflower and orange peel.
Color: A strong orange-caramel hue
Aroma: Mountain herbs and vegetables
Taste: Dry but full of complex aromas such as bergamot, elderflower and wild herbs, rounded off by a hint of orange zest.
