This year’s batch is made from a delicious and aromatic mix of organic Braeburn and Jonagold apples. They started with a number of different varieties on their own, and then experimented with blends. After several batches, they decided that the combination of Braeburn and Jonagold creates a perfect shrub. Like biting into a fresh apple on a cool fall day.
Shrub & Co Tart Apple brings a fresh bite of apple to your drinks. It’s incredibly versatile – pairs well with all of the base spirits. As temperatures drop, we’re enjoying Tart Apple with bourbon and a twist of lemon. For those who are more adventurous – try The Mulligatawny.

6 oz 12 year old Zaya Rum
1.5 oz Orleans Apple Apertif
3 oz Shrub & Co Tart Apple Shrub
6 drops of Bitter End Curry Bitters
Shake well until frothy. Strain over coconut water infused ice cubes. Scrape fresh nutmeg over the top. Garnish with a sprig of spearmint. Makes 2 to 3 boozy cocktails. Recipe provided by Warren Bobrow.
