Poli Vaca Mora Amaro 700ml
In 1885 GioBatta Poli moved with his family to Schiavon and opened the tavern “Osteria Al Cappello”, knowing that a new railway was to be built close by. A few years later the long awaited steam train “Vaca Mora” (Black Cow) arrived. The passengers used to wait for the Vaca Mora train in the tavern, sipping a bitter liqueur made by GioBatta by infusing herbs, fruit peels, and roots. Sometimes the train driver was came in for a sip too! Some yeas later in 1898, the Poli Distillery was established on the osteria’s premises.
The aroma recalls a wooden box full of medicinal herbs and mint leaves. Balmy like the thousand-scents of a herbal shop.
Enjoy over ice, with soda, or in a Black Manhattan, Shakerato or Alpino Sour.
The Poli Distillery was established in 1898 in Schiavon, located north of the Veneto region. Orginally a bottleshop, Poli is now known for excellent grappa and liqueurs.
