Amaro Venesian was created to showcase botanicals from the Venetian lagoon. Crown jewel of this selection is the “Carciofo Violetto di Sant’Erasmo”, a particularly prized rare variety of artichoke that grows exclusively in the loamy soils of the Venetian lagoon—specifically on the islands of Sant’Erasmo and Lio Piccolo. Tender, fleshy and slender, it is renowned for its distinctive digestive properties. Artemisia marittima, commonly know as sea wormwood, is a perennial plant that grows spontaneously in the Venetian lagoon. It is also used in cooking for its pleasantly balsamic scent. Golden samphire grows in the salty Venetian fields, also known for its digestive and balsamic properties.

The Botanicals used include golden samphire, sea wormwood, Carciofo Violetto di Sant’Erasmo, orange and lemon peel, cinnamon, anise, green cardamom, gentian, Cinchona cyanus, Centaurea rheum, and rhubarb.
