Originating in New Zealand, and now being made on both sides of the Tasman, Only Bitters are excited to offer this quality Tonic Syrup.

sin-ko-nah tonic syrup: a bittersweet mixer for the discerning drinker.

Following a recipe formulated in the 1820s, the syrup is infused with cinchona bark - the natural source of quinine - imparting a uniquely bitter flavour and distinctive colour. Tonic syrup as we know it, was originally concocted by officers serving in British India to ease fever and ward off malaria. Mixed with soda and gin, this highball cocktail became an icon of the colonial Empire.

sin-kåå-nah tonic syrup returns this refreshing tipple to authenticity, curing thirst and enlivening cocktails - alcoholic & non-alcoholic alike.

About sin-ko-nah

sin-kåå-nah tonic syrup is the product of a small, family-run business based in Auckland,  New Zealand.  They believe in doing things with care and hand-craft their syrup with locally grown citrus ... and local juniper when available! The family comes from orchardist roots and has a policy to support other small businesses wherever possible. One of the characteristics they sought to create in the product are minimal sugar levels - two of the family are type 2 diabetics. They wanted to create a delicious, adult mixer drink that contained no artificial sweetener and are proud to have done so.

bitter not too sweet

For some drinkers a small quantity is needed to get that bitter bark flavour. Call it dry. Load in more syrup and sweetness too abounds. A real natural product. Delivery of it was professional as well.

Alternative to Alcoholis drinks

I have lately been put on medication which does not react well with alcohol Sin-ko-nah is an excellent alternative with a distinctly adult taste

Go-to tonic syrup

Of the tonic syrups I've tried, this is my favourite. It's not subtle – the bitterness hits up front and lasts long after the drink is finished, but as a lover of bitter flavours (Campari, etc) this is a box ticker! The colour is terrific too.

Have purchased multiple times.
