Shipping & Returns


Under the Australian Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence
- To supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $17,000)
- For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor. (Penalty exceeds $700)  
- Liquor must be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. Evidence of age may be required where appropriate.
- Liquor will not be delivered and left at unoccupied premises on same day the order is received.
- Liquor will only be delivered during the following hours:
    - between 9am and 11pm on any day other than Sunday, Good Friday, Anzac Day or Christmas Day.
    - between 10am - 11pm on Sunday.
    - between 12 noon and 11pm on Anzac Day.
    - No deliveries are permitted on Christmas Day or Good Friday.



Shipping is limited to AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND and now EUROPE and ASIA.

PLEASE NOTE: Parcels to Australian addresses can only be left without signature if requested by the customer, and if the order does not contain alcohol.  All other orders will require a signature. All international parcels require a delivery signature.


You must be over 18 to order bitters or other products containing alcohol.

We can ship to any address in Australia. We use Australia Post parcel service, with a signature and proof of id required from the recipient. If no one is available to sign for the parcel, a collection card will be left in your post box by Australia Post advising you of the nearest Post Office Outlet where it will be held for you to pick up. Please make sure you take your id in order to pick up the parcel. Please see Delivery of Liquor above.

We provide the following guidelines for the delivery of your order. These are average delivery times we have experienced using Australia Post:

VIC, NSW, ACT: 2-3 working days
QLD, SA, TAS : 3-5 working days
WA, NT and remote locations 5-7 working days

The majority of orders arrive well within these transit times, however if your order has still not arrived after the transit times above, please contact us at sales@onlybitters.com

Please add +2 days approx. for Christmas orders.


PLEASE NOTE NEW PICK UP ADDRESS. As an alternative to postal delivery, we now offer a parcel pick-up option from our facility in FITZROY, Melbourne. Simply choose 'pick up' when selecting a shipping option. We will contact you with instructions for collection usually within 24 hours. 


Please Note: International shipping charges are calculated by weight. International orders may be subject to customs or import duties and applicable taxes on the importation of alcohol. Only Bitters is not responsible for these potential additional costs. 

Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST), currently 10%, will be deducted off the total price at the time of charging for all international orders.

Please allow for 5-7 working days for the arrival of your parcel. However, some customers do experience delays due to their countries' customs offices.

You may return unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you receive an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund earlier. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
